The Forest Climate Council met for the eighth time. The last three Forest Climate Conferences took place in Fulda within the smaller circle of the Forest Climate Council. Key topics included the establishment of the Ecosystem Value Alliance Foundation, updates on the three methods now covered by the Forest Climate Standard, questions regarding the international applicability of the standard with a focus on Europe, and the further development of the standard in version 1.3, including the monitoring, reporting, and verification process.
The previous conferences took place as follows:
The first two meetings were held digitally in September and December 2021 due to the pandemic. The third conference was able to take place physically in Berlin for the first time in March 2022. The fourth conference followed in October 2022 over two days at the Grünes Schloss innovation campus in Blankenburg (Harz), where the Ecosystem Value Alliance Foundation is based. The fifth conference was then held in Berlin again.
