First public consultation of the method
'03 Climate-optimized forest management'
The scope of application of the forest climate standard is extended: OCELL enters the first public consultation with its first draft of the method '03 Climate-optimized forest management' . This is thefirst time it has been presented to the Technical Committee and the Forest-Climate Council public in written form . The aim is to develop a pilot version of the method based on the feedback from the public consultation and the subsequent deliberations of the eva foundation committees.
The method aims to increase, maintain and stabilize the carbon store . By adapting forestry operations planning to the effects of climate change and reducing the use of wood, the aim is to increase or maintain carbon stocks at the level of forestry operations. Particular attention is to be paid to forest risk management and the future stability of forests.
As part of eva's multi-stakeholder dialog, OCELL and eva invite you to the first Public Consultation.
The public consultation will take place from September 30 to October 31, 2024 During this period, the method will be open to the interested public and all participating stakeholder groups for feedback.

The method '03 Climate-optimized forest enterprise management' was presented to the Technical Committee and the Forest Climate Council in summer 2024 for initial feedback and has not yet been released for piloting.
